The Prophecy of the Group
Elves? I'll kill 'em all!
Drew was born into a family of cultists. Cultists who decided that the best way to worship their deity, Pale Night, was to send their son straight to the 471st layer of the abyss. So they did. Andryolynne, as it’s called, is in a state of eternal conflict between Pale Night’s demons and the Eladrin. The Eladrin are a race of elves who have had an entire generation of their young trapped on Androlynne by a pact signed by their prince; who was tricked into signing it by Pale Night. The Eladrin have come in force to Androlynne to protect their kin from the demons of the layer. Upon Drew’s arrival, the demons saw a unique opportunity: the good and noble invaders would not see a human child as a threat. So the demons raised Drew in a life of trickery and violence. He was used in traps and assaults against the Eladrin, using their shock at seeing a human in this hell to their advantage. Eventually someone high up in the Eladrin ranks tired of seeing the child exploited this way and used a few of the mages present to send Drew back to the overworld. With his memories of the Abyss erased, Drew wandered around aimlessly until eventually signing up with a group of wandering adventurers. The only scars of the abyss he bears: a seething hatred and distrust for elves, an incredible bloodlust, and an incorporeal bit of cloth tied around his arm that only servants of Pale night can see.
